Fuel Pressure Gauge: where'd you guys mount it?

I was wondering if you guys actaully ran a fuel line into the passenger compartment or not? Or how else did you mount it up? Thanks

I think you need a special isolator to run a mechanical FP guage in cab safely. Someone had posted an Electric FP Guage part # and good dealer to contact. If you read this would you let us know again? Also, Where does this electric unit's sender tap into the fuel line?

One more thing.. what PSI range does your gauge cover? 0-100psi? or greater? The autometer pahntom one i'm looking at is only 0-100psi, is that enough?

I emailed Summit, so here's what they had to say:

Sir,

On most imports, the fuel pressure sender will hook to the fuel filter,
where the banjo bolt is fixed to, to obtain your FP readings. You may need
an adapter to fit the sender to the banjo bolt, as it may not be a direct
"bolt-on".

Anyone know if Autometer makes the adaptor to tap into the banjo bolt. If not anyone know where to get one?

ANyonehave a picture of the gauge?

Also, if you have an A/F gauge why would you need a FP gauge? if your running lean on the A/F then you know your FP is low right? and vice versa?

please correct me if i'm wrong

Were the fuel pressure gauge will benefit you over the A/F gauge is that the if the AF gauge goes lean you prob. just blownin your engine. But if the fuel pressure starts to drop off (at WOT)then you now that you are running out of fuel and you need a bigger pump, injectors etc...

AF gauge tells you what happened were as the FP gauge will tell what will happen!

BTW, does anybody know what color guage pod this is? Is it grey or clear grey? These are the two options stated in the Autometer page.

You know a really cool place to put the 2 1/16's inch gauges? In the dimmer slot and cruise control holes.

Geek and I did his that way. It was his idea, and it turned out nice. You have to grind the whole a little bigger, but when you do, it really looks pretty good.
